A 25-year-old waitress who turned down a job providing "sexual services'' at a brothel in Berlin faces possible cuts to her unemployment benefit under laws introduced this year.

Prostitution was legalised in Germany just over two years ago and brothel owners – who must pay tax and employee health insurance – were granted access to official databases of jobseekers.

One day prostitutes will unite to fight for the legalization of their great art everywhere! What a proud day that will be.

Could you imagine what it would be like if prostitution was legal here in America?

...your right, nothing would change. :D

The waitress, an unemployed information technology professional, had said that she was willing to work in a bar at night and had worked in a cafe.

Whoa, hot!

Oh well, every country has it's down-sides.. but then that's just up-sides for others.

It is legal.

Dont you ever look in the newspaper and see those ads?

Prostitution is legal if you make it a business, and run it in the form of phone-in call girls.

Maybe thats just here. All I know is in "The Province" (The Newspaper) thre are sometimes 2 or 3 pages dedicated to things like that.

They get away with it by not explicitly offering that service. It's companionship they are selling.

:hump: <- that kind of companionship ;)

Yeah that's the task of religion.... but who cares about that nowadays? :( So the government just fills the gap in that department I guess...
