Moving up changes to Feb. 1st [Archive]

GameTavern is going to be promoted by another site for the first couple weeks in February. Consequently we are aiming for Feb 1st to implement the site changes. These include the new style as well as the doubloon system. There are still issues we are working out with the style but we should have them resolved in time. We'll plan on bringing out the bookie system on Feb 14th. This will let you bet your doubloons on various items.

It was a gaming clan started way back when on the Nintendose boards. When the split happened, I believe they went to AdvanceGB while Gametavern began (and within a somewhat short period of time ended) their clan, GameTrac.

As a special treat, I went ahead and activated the doubloon system. Right now it's running in the background. Of course you won't be able to tell until the 1st how many doubloons you have or even how to go about getting them. :D Just go about your business as normal and everything will take care of itself.
