Looks cool. I think I'll enjoy collecting and fixing all the cars more than actually racing this game.

in order to collect the cars, you're gonna need to race. well, that was the case with previous GTs

Yeah, I know, but I'll enjoy recieving the new vehicles more than the actual act of racing. Games of this genre and the previous GT's are boring to me in the actual gameplay. I'm counting on my brother or friends on buying this so I can give it a good go before actually investing in it myself.

I really hope I have the money to spend on the new force feedback steering wheel that will be coming out at the same time. It goes 900 degrees each way, like a real steering wheel. Rally racing would simply be insane.

I like the pictures where the cars are on the cliff over-looking miles and miles of nature's beauty.
I wonder if an additional player can take pictures while someone else is racing like in SSBM's picture mode?

miles and miles of nature's beauty.
A pre-renderd picture. :p
I was thinking about buying this, now I must have this game! Good thing I bought a PS2. :D
BTW, does anyone know if this game needs a whole memory card? I think GT3 did, and I just hope that this one doesn't...
GT3 didnt need a whole memory card. it needed more space then the normal game, but i have many game saves on the same card with all my GT3 saves.
Thanks for the good news. I just can't buy a new memory card...

 I WANT A PS2!!!!! :baby:
i wouldn't recommend getting the wheel though, with 900 degrees in each direction, you're bound to either hurt your hands, or break the wheel....

do...you break the wheel on a real car? :p
i know ones metal and ones plastic. but still, the whole point of that type of rotation is to make it REALISTIC. your not going to be torquing the wheel in each direction as fast as you can. that kinda rotation gives you a much much MUCH more fluid motion when turning, that being the very reason why you wont have to turn it back and forth rapidly like current wheels.
the smaller the wheel the more its going to be turned hard and rapidly each way. cuz of the less amount of control you get.
trust me when i say the wheel will work beautifully and if you want to truely enjoy this game for all that it can be. you NEED that wheel.
BTW, 900 degrees total. not 900 each way.

well, i currently have the logitech MOMO force feedback wheel...it's complicated enough to do drifting courses in NFS with out the 900degree turning. and since there are tracks like that in GT4, i have no doubt that it will be A LOT harder to control. esspecially when the track goes in a zig zag pattern.
easier actually. i have the offical GT wheel for GT3, pretty much a logitech force gp.
and that takes the game to a whole nother level over just a controller.
thing that makes you zig zag sort of is you dont have small adjustments with thoes current wheels. a little turn on that is like a big turn on the 900 degree wheel.
the bigger the radius of the wheel. the much easier it is to make fine adjustments. which translates into a smoother more fluid steering.
think of it like the mouse on the keyboard. if you turn the sens up high, its faster and hard er to be exact at pinpointing something. turn it down, the slower it gets the more accurate it gets.

*shrug*
all i'm saying is that, for me, i would rather use a keyboard/controller on zig-zaggy tracks rather than a steering wheel...
maybe you're right, maybe it will be easier with that wheel, we won't know until it's out :)

Oh my goodness... those pics look SIK..... SIK... SIK......
I wouldn't be surprised if POLYPHONY DIGITAL comes out saying
"Oh yeah... we used PS2's Vector Units Processor for this game!"
and everyone goes, "Really!?"

Those images are incredible!
It would be cool if they made it so you could take the photos you take in photo mode and using USB cable upload them to your computer. That way we could all post our photos we take.
