Hundreds of people ask,

Can you tell me more about the downloadable content? "Trench" was kind of a tease.

Hmm. Tease, eh? Well let me say these few words. Grizzled Ancients, Territories, Slamming Doors.

most people seem to think that "trench" tease is talking about Hang Em high (you know how it has the trench in the middle) you figure out the rest..

heres a questions. why the hell dont they just give us downloadable content NOW????

I did a search for "Grizzled Ancients" and it seems that it is talking about some "elite" team or bungie's own best team.

I KNOW WHY I KNOW WHY!

The same reason Bungie cut Halo 2 down from a good game to a sub-par boring and pretty much HUMONGOUS LET down of a game.

Because they can profit off the hype, duh.

Yes, but people like you and I won't buy 3 if we get screwed out of the content.

so for those who haven't heard... they tried testing the downloadable content 2 days ago.. .some people were able to see that there were some levels available... but when attempting to download them it failed. apparrently they are being charged like $5 for the levels, one of which is a remake of Sidewinder (the snow level) and it will be called ice wake

"some" idiot took this craptastic picture (someone from bungie to generate more hype no doubt)

Bungie charging MONEY for new content.

*Gasps

What a surprise.

Further proof that consoles online are leaning more towards crap every day.

I seriously doubt they will charge for the new content.

Wishful thinking if you are hoping not to have to pay. It is inevitable.

no, you will pay for new levels, and if you dont, they'll be utter crap...

OMG how and if i wanted to play battle creek, i'd play it on halo 1 where i don't get dual pistoled to death...

I HATE TEAM PHANTOMS, MIDSH!T and BEAVER CREEK

Wishful thinking if you are hoping not to have to pay. It is inevitable.

See now this is what bothers me. Here I got XboxLive, had to pay for that. I don't believe I should have to pay for downloads that I get for games on the Xbox. If it were for the PS2, fine. I could deal with that, because you aren't paying to play online with them. But you are with XboxLive. Not saying it's not going to happen.

What these game developers really have to start thinking about is this. They can't start charging every game that comes online. They can't do it. By doing this, they will be cutting themselves off at the knees. Example of what I'm trying to say is this. Say that I get TimeSplitters:Future Perfect, Doom3, Madden 200X, Perfect Dark:Zero, and Halo2. Each one of these games decided to charge for some kind of online play (or charge for dl content), and they start doing what MMORPGs do, charge a flat fee of $20 a month. Ontop of that, I have my ISP cost and Xbox Live Cost. Do the addition, if I want to play these games online... it's going to cost me $120 a month. That leaves me no money to get new games. If I don't have the money for new games a ripple effect will happen with this. End result of the ripple effect, fewer games and developers. Maybe the fall of the Gaming Industry.

I'm not saying that if I'm the only one in the world that doesn't buy games, the industry is going to fall. But I think that the majority of people will fall under the same catorgery as me.

I guess it's all how you look at it. I don't see it as a good thing. If Sony and MS decided to go with this type of thing, I will be proud to stick with Nintendo and their offline play.
