View Full Version : You Liked the Game Just Fine Until...

Have you ever had a game you liked just fine? You played it and played it and had a joyous time until there was one thing, one feature or experience that just killed it for you?

Well?

For me...

I was playing Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. I've had a for a while, and I got as far as the second or third world in the second round of World Cards (which, for me, was Atlantis). Although I don't think the card system was really necessary, I liked the game well enough.

I went through most of Atlantis and got to the point where I was ready to head towards the boss. I slapped the door and was given the card requirements to enter. I had to have a key card that equaled 1 and the requisite Key to Truths (I think that's what its called; the boss key card).

I searched through my map cards, and did not find a single map card that equalled 1.

Okay, I thought, I'll just go fight a couple of battles to get a 1 card.

I have been fighting enemies for at least two hours, and I have yet to get a 1 card. This is insane. I looked around GameFAQs to see if there's any formula for getting cards, but apparently its all just random.

This means I could go forever without ever getting the card I need if that's how the "dice" rolls. How could Square not forsee this? Its awful. Even if I do finally get the card, what's not to say the same thing won't happen again?

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

as much as Half Life 1 rawks, I started to lose interest very very fast once I started hanging around in Xen...

I can't stand that place... Not only does it have all that frustrating jumping and the annoying enemy with the 1 testicle, but it's just plain boring...

I mean it didn't kill the game as a whole, but it killed the last part of the game... "Yeah yeah screw this, I'm just gonna cheat so I can beat the game", etc...

I remember trying to find Pinsir in Pokemon Red. For hours.

I was playing Minish Cap, and it's been all dandy, and I got the bombs. Except, when I got to the cliffs, I had wasted all my bombs.

Now I'm stuck and I can't find any more bombs. :(

Underwater levels. Specifically, that one in Dark Cloud. Never touched the game going through that dungeon way too many times.

I was playing Final Fantasy 7, and then Aeris Died.

Now, I had been levelling her up alot, I assmumed she was an important part of the game.

Well, I was right...but she had to die.

I still played the game.....but I played it angrily from there on in.

I don't like underwater levels either. For me it's a fear. I just hate having to go in water. I liked Prince of Persia just fine until I had to fight zombies. I liked Ocarina of Time just fine until it turned into night. I also like Sonic 3 until I had to play Hydro City which forces you to play underwater.

I had to overcome my fear for Sonic 3. When the zombies started coming I quit Prince of Persia. When it turned into night and I had to go in the graveyard, I quit Ocarina of Time.

I really had no problem with Halo 2's campaign until I became a Covenant. Those levels are total crap. Oh, and the ending totally sucks too. Talk about a horrible way to end a not-so-great follow up to a great game.

Oh well.

oh well. RPG's aren't my thing.

Playing counterstrike:source. One too many times I died and had to wait for the round to end. That did it for me. **** cs
