i saw this on BBC news yesterday.....anyone heard of it...what they showed on the news was just bad....i dont really think this place will help any of those kids....ive heard of tough love...but this is just absurd....i decided to google it and find out more....the official website looks harmless enough...but what u really have inside doesnt look anything close to this...

That place sounds really bad. And I would resist every single second I was there. Boiled cabbage and fish? Blech!

This place looks almost exactly opposite of another school for wayward teens called Glen Mills School. Its actually right down the street from me. They take actual court referred criminal teens and set them straight, but do it through a college like campus, constant attention and an excellent hands on education.

I'm not going to lie, some of the tactics used there are questionable if effective (they have a 70% success rate having students less than 2 years in most cases) I was interviewed to be a teacher there, and a friend who was a teacher there instructed me on how to answer the questions.

An example question is this:
"A student refuses to clean his room before morning roll call. You ask him to make his room, and he says "**** you" in front of the rest of the students. What do you do?"

The correct answer is:
"You take him into the room and lock the door. When you come out the room is clean and you didn't touch anything."

I gotta admit, i probably wouldn't last 2 minutes there. i'd be stuck there until i'm 19. and probably only be on a "level 2"

I would probably get my ass kicked if I went there...I absolutely hate authority. I'm no rebel, in fact I follow most guidelines set by society and everything, and have no problem doing so...I just cant stand someone telling me what to do in a situation where I should have complete freedom of choice.

i feel the same way, man. I wouldn't go there even if it was to prevent armageddon, although I would have a nice tan...maybe i'd do it for a klondike bar...
