View Full Version : Hypocrites, all of them!

I swear, I now respect my religion less. I now realise there are a lot of hypocrites out there.
They were saying, just because that my girlfreind was not a christian, I should dump her and forget about her! shows a lot for the religion doesn't it.
Sorry, I just had to vent my anger.
What do you guys think about this?

Euhm... I don't even WANT a girl with another religion. I mean, my religion differs so much from the others... While I'm hoping for eternal life on a paradise earth (Like Adam and Eva), other religions believe that they're going to heaven.
One of us would have to be wrong. So we wouldn't be able to live togother forever!
So it's best to 'pick' a girl with your own religion.
And about your priest or something, I don't think that's the right way to say it. I mean, now they got you mad, perhaps you will stray from your faith just because of what they said!

I've never went out with a girl the same religion as me. Nor the same nationality for that matter.
I see no problem to date someone of a different religion. The only problem that may arise is if you decide to have kids (guessing now that's a no;)). My parents weren't of the same religion and there were no problems or anything.

Dude you didn't go to church because of the people did you??I guessing the answer to this is no, and if it is don't let people or Hypocrites for that matter, make your belief sway because of their opinion of what you should or shouldn't do. Your religion is between God and you, not you and the people.....if anything you should have less respect for the people not the religion.
Don't ever let hypocrites in the church, or other people for that matter effect you belief in your religion in a negative way...that it would turn you from God. :D
However there is a verse in the bible where it says that you should not marry anyone who is not christian because it could pull you down as christian since she doesn't have the same belief as you. For example: your girlfriend might say let's have sex, woppeeee, you jump in the sack shagg her all night long...errrrrr well maybe not, maybe about 15 mins for you. :p;) but anyways the point is she encouraged you to sin, now if you had a christian girlfriend( a real one ) she wouldn't ( shouldn't ) do that. :D
Now all I did was tell you what I knew and thought, I am in no way saying that you should dump your girlfriend, or shouldn't, that choice is soley up to you. If you can convert her to christianity then that's good for you and her. But whatever you do don't let what people say or do destroy your faith. Ok Grimreaper.
BTW I'm not christian I just know a lot about the matter cause two of my friends are. :D
geez I'm that post was good...I'm the man..woot woot :burger:

One of the first conversations I would have with any girl I'm interested in is about God... she doesn't have to share my views 100%, but if she goes aganst my views (like opposing my faith alltogether) I would never let her become more than just a friend.
Why?
Because relationships in which you can't connect mentally never work out.... ever. So I don't even bother.

Its no big deal what religion your gf is if you ask me, i mean, i go to church...although i hate it, but my gf doesnt go at all, does that mean that she is a bad person and i shoudl dump her? NO! course not, I dont think that God, if there is one, really would care what religion you beleived in on earth.

Most people don't choose a religion but rather are assigned to one when growing up. If they see it unfit then they have the option to convert to another.
My Mother is a Roman Catholic and my father a Church Of England, this has always caused a rift between the two families but because of this I was not baptised or made to go to church (neither were my brothers) my parents decided to let us make out own minds up in later life.
Heres my view... I do not believe in god but I also do not dis believe in god, I havent found him yet and with events that have ocurred in my life I find it hard to believe but there is something there, that I am sure in.
My opinion about your gf, what a crock of crap, at the end of the day your opinions and feelings are whats most important in your life, you are only here once so live life for yourself and dont let anyone bring you down, selfish mabey but thats the way it is. Love reigns eternall and breaks through all barriers if it is ment to be.

Well, here's the thing. We've been with each other for eight months, and shes not a Christian, however she doesn't want to have sex before marraige and all that.

I don't believe in god one bit, but would I care if I had a gf that did? No... *shrugs*... Well, maybe if she was VERY religious kinda like my mom...
But y'know... Letting religion get in the way of a relationship is just stupid, IMO... Might as well not get involved with someone because you don't like the same kind of music...
Although I probably just think that way because I see religion as something stupid and pointless............ *cough* but let's not get into that again OK? OK!? JUST IGNORE THAT LAST THING I SAID! :D
Anyways... uhh... so... I guess religious people would think another way but... meh...
But if religion gets in the way of relationships and stuff which is like one of the main big things in life (err well y'know marriage and stuff), I think that's just plain stupid........ *shrugs* (I've been shrugging too much lately)

Well, when you get a girlfriend your opinion will change... trust me.
Having a girl that's too different, or a girl who totally is aganst your views isn't the ideal relationship that would workout

Ehh.. I won't start on sex.. but I don't think that someone has to be the same religion as you for you to be able to date them -- that's just not something I believe.
I mean, I'm single, so I have no girlfriend, so therefore, I don't gotta worry bout this :D

In some cases it wouldn't work out... and in some cases it would...
And when I get a girlfriend (if that ever happens  :D) if she was nice and all that stuff, I wouldn't care if she was all religious or not... why? Because I don't care? I wouldn't let religion get in the way of some girl if she's like one of the nicest people I've ever met...
Then again, religion gets in the way of a lot of other stuff, so why not love, eh?

The only way it would change is if that girl was all like "I found a quarter on the ground! Thank you o great god for placing this quarter in my path!"
Or if she's all god this god that all the time... god god god...
But there are people who go to church and believe in god and stuff who aren't all annoying about it...

I've had a few and it's never been a problem. We're taught to accept differences...well, at least some people are. We each knew eachother's background and knew our views on things. Why would you want to be with someone who thinks exactly like you anyway. Kinda boring don't ya think?
