It's....It's so beautiful! AND I WONT BE ABLE TO PLAY IT! Maybe this will cause me to upgrade...The first two versions of the game are probably the reasons why I'm so good in history class now..
+rep though. This game will rule.

Age Of Empires is an awesome series, although, it's more of a sim then a pure Real Time Strategy. I loved Age Of Empires 2 though, that game was simply amazing and lots of fun to play. It was no Starcraft in the pure gameplay department, but if you wanted a game that was more sim-like Age Of Empires was the way to go.
I'll be building a new PC within the next year, so I can't wait till that comes out.

So this is about the colonization of Amerika?
Looks nice. :)
I loved AoE, but hated AoE II. The gameplay was just... boring or something, I dunno. I payed f120,- (=€55=$65) for it, in the first week it came out. Almost the worst buy I ever did (only PSO was worse).

I have and Love every AoE game ever made.
Love it like a child.
I dont play AoE 2 anymore, I dont know why....But I love it...The graphics are mind boggling for this though.
Hooray, I can probably play it too.

I have never played an Ages of Empires game. Now might be the time to start?
Hoping to hear some good impressions from people who will have played it.

I dunno. I mean, yeah, it looks way better than any other iteration of the series. But if you look at how it's really constructed it's not that impressive. Nice utilization of shaders for the lighting, shadows, and water. But other than that? Low poly models and geometry with decent texture work (I'll give more credit if I see the textures from closer up).
The art is awesome though. They really have outdone themselves in representing an aerial perspective of the land. I've never been one for RTS games, but I'll at least keep an eye on this one.

Here's some stuff I've read:
-Ragdoll physics on all the units (that's right: horses, infantry, SHIPS, carts, and so on).
-Building collapsing realistically and hurting units they fall on (Ever wanted to kill some one with there own wonder? Here's your chance :) ).
-Also buildings and ships are supposed to have realistic damage, like if a cannon ball hits a ships mast the mast will break, or if one hits a house it will put a hole in the wall, and might come out the back side. (What I really want to see is if ships sink differently depending on what hit them where.)
-Instead of small herds of animal there are lots of animals, like herds of hundreds of Bison (like there should be in Old America)
