Well, I finally got a Xbox. Got it for this Christmas along with both Halo games. I'm pretty excited. It is one of the limited Halo edition green Xboxes. My mom walked into Gamestop to look at them over Thanksgiving and the people there had just discovered that they had two of the green ones instock. They had somehow forgotten that they had them back there. Lucky me. I plan on jumping on Xbox live when I get back to school so if anyone needs someone to be cannon fodder, I'd be glad to fill that role.

Here are some pictures:

Sweet.

Play Halo 1 first!

You just have too. It will be all chronilogical and stuff. And you will understand what is going on in Halo 2. The story in the games is amazing, so don't miss out on any of it.

I'm at a friends house right now, and it's 5:52 AM...and we've been playing Halo 2 co-op since about 6 o'clock PM yesterday. That's nearly 12 hours of playing...with a few brief intermissions of deathmatch and capture the flag.

Still havn't beaten the game though. It might be because we are on Heroic, and the going is just slower.

Don't worry. I told myself when I got them that I wouldn't play Halo 2's first player mode until I finished Halo's. I haven't been able to make much progress so far however because I rented two games for my PS2 and I want to devote as much time as possible to those before I have to return them.

You know what, now that I think about it, I don't think that Halo 2 has even been in my Xbox yet...

Congratulations Jeepnut, just be sure not to neglect JS. Or else she might turn green with envy.

Okay, so a few questions.

I got a DVD remote along with my Xbox see. However, I already have a PS2 that plays DVDs just fine thank you very much. My problem here is that I could use said remote to purchase another controller, or I could decide to keep it since I will not be able to watch DVDs on my Xbox without it. Consider that it is likely that the Xbox will be the one that is hooked to the TV most often unless I get a system selector. What should I do with the remote?

Also, good game ideas? I'm thinking of getting either Need For Speed Underground 2 or Test Drive: Eve of Destruction. I played the first Need For Speed Underground and really liked it. Even customizing your car is fun, not to mention the racing itself. However, NFSU only allows 2 players to play on one Xbox at the same time. Seems kind of stupid to me that EA didn't go ahead and utilize the extra ports.

Anyway, TD allows up to 4 players. Also, it's a game that is designed basically around crashing cars into other cars which everyone knows is awesome. Actually, if I could make a valid comparison, it's an awful lot like NFSU only set in the country with more redneckish styles of racing. If anybody should happen to know enough about both of these on the Xbox to determine which would be a better investment, I would be most appreciative.

Yes, that is another reason I was leaning toward Test Drive.

I noticed that I played Halo more than Halo 2, and I own Halo 2 rather than Halo.

Basically, I'm ready to sell my XBox to a friend for fairly cheep.

Hmmm, Fable was cool though.
