Mine is named Koishi (pebble/stone in japanese) and he's grey. Had a blue one before him named Aoi but he was too addicted to the TV.

My Chao's name is Nani which is 'what' in Japanese. I couldn't think of a name so I named him what for "'what' whould I name it". Clever, eh?
He's blue.
I have played the dramcast version of the chao's and I would imagine that the way you bring them up is the same, I have had many different colours, blue, green, yellow, orange, brown, black, white, red... it all depends on the type or 'colour'* of animals and chaos drives you give them and weather you care for them with good (making a good chao) bad (making a bad chao) or both (making a neutral chao) it takes a looooong time to get all different combinations and I strongly advise looking on www.gamefaqs.com for more information.
* the 'colour' is determined by the colour of the box around the animal when you collect it not necessecerely the actuall colour of the animal itself. Try only giving one colour of items to your chao. Different coloured drives affect a different traits eg swim, run etc.

Actually its entirely different. Get a lot of rings and buy a colored egg depending on the price. What ever the color of the egg is that's the color the chao is. The hardest to get in the black one but I heard some people complaining that its ugly. I'll stick with my cheap silver one. He's my 5th or 6th chao I think.
When you guys say blue do you mean the original neutral one it starts with or the dark blue which costs 7,000 rings?
Whoa.... they completley changed the system, mmmh mabey on Sonic Battle or whatever it's called the old methods are present, in fact they must be, I cant see them making that durastic a change, there would be nothing to collect on the game but rings otherwise. We will have to wait and see, in the DC version you get a gold egg in a shop window a silver one near a waterfall and 2 free normal eggs when you open up each chao garden. Anyway only time will tell.

The GCN one holds true to the DC version. The Tiny Chao Garden on GBA is just the alternative to DC's virtual memory card where you can take a chao with you.
But they talk in the GBA one. :D
Oh cool so I'll be able to get all my chao's back with a little.... a lot of work, all the ones I had on DC which died with a heavy object falling on the VMU incident will be repayed.
Yeah my sonic chao and my knights chao and my...... mumble...... mumble..... COOLIO ....????
Goodo when the GC version arrives I can give my educated advice on chao raising. Watch this space. Running chaos are the most imperessive, man do they fly (or rather run) when you get their stats up.

In that case it should get green bits on as it turns into an adult and its head will elongate to a point down its back. I believe yours is a swimming chao.
