I bought it on Friday. :D I was the first who got to the store, but it opened half an hour later than I expected. :p
When it was 9:30, there were at least 5 people waiting to buy one.
It's great so far. This night I'm going to see the other half. (I wanted to see it in one sit, but it was already late yesterday, my g/f couldn't handle it. Have to be thoughtful of the women! ;))
I have a discount card (10%) and I saw someone buy the gift edition without one, so I offered him my discount. :D It saved him €7. :p
Oh yeah:
*SPOILER WARNING!*

Lots of good extra stuff? I assume it was well worth the purchase.
Congrats

If I don't see Saruman in the extended version...I'm going to be pissed.

I'm getting as a belated birthday present from my dad. He didn't realize it was being released later in the year than the other EEs were, so he just told me he was going to get it when it came out.
S'all good.
And Saruman is in the EE, according to IGN in their review of the DVD.

It was released earlier in Holland, probably because TTT EE last year was released almost a week later.
It's great. :D Saruman was nice. But I thought the scene was a bit... misplaced but my girl doesn't agree with me, she loved it. ;)
I really enjoyed a documentary about horses, it's really cute. :p
Going to watch some more now. :D

I got mine on the 14th. I still haven't even watched it yet though. I got the collector's gift set by the way.
Copies of the extended version of Lord of the Rings-Return of the King come with an order form for a slip cover to encase all three extended versions of the LOTR movies. You know, like the one that you get when you buy the extended edition of the LOTR trilogy. I actually caved in and placed an order for one. It's free, but the shipping/handling fee is $3.

Worst scene: Gandalf vs The Witch King. Makes absolutely NO sense. "OMG GANDALF IS A GONER! Oh wait The Witch King leaves because he hears trumpets, WOAH GOOD STUFF!"
Best scene: Hm... Saruman OR The Mouth of Sauron. :D

I agree. For some reason, the IGNDVD reviewer said this was the best of the deleted scenes. I have no clue what the crap he was thinking when he wrote that. There is absolutely nothing that happens in this scene that really adds anything to the plot, or anything that is even remotely cool.

My friend bought and watched TRotK: EE also and he said we were going to watch but we never did. I own the standard RotK.
