Sad day for all of rock music.

Memories of Jaco Pastorius and SRV come to mind. The good ones are always killed.

That is so bull****. Like honestly, what a ****ty way to die. Your up their doing what you love, entertaining a couple hundred fans, then some jackass comes to murdered you. It's absolutely disgusting.

Hahahaha, that's one of the funniest sites ever. I'm sure it was made up by some angry catholic moms that failed to note the fact that musicians are usually weird/slightly messed up in the first place (creativity and weirdness go hand in hand), and that once you become famous you begin to 'live it up.'

Anyway........it was a tragic shooting. I'm not a humongous Damageplan fan, but I absolutely loved Pantera. I was appalled when I heard the news, because the concept of someone sneaking into a club with a gun and shooting up a place seemed strange.

Dimebag Darrell was one hell of a guitar player, and that's all the matters. His memory will live on through the works of Pantera, and that's the important thing.

I'm suprised they didn't have more security. Some small clubs search you head to toe, others don't. He played his last show in Buffalo at a place called The Icon. I go there all the time and they never check for guns, drugs, or knives. His death will bring about more safety, at the least.

I just think it's sad that society has come down to shooting band members that you don't like. Killing Kennedies is one thing, but putting down great guitar players is another.

I agree, his death pissed me off.. All over the break of pantera.. They could have reunited but not now.. Thanks to the assbag that shot him :( .... Atleast he died doing what he loved..

That brings up an interesting question:

Is it better to die "doing what you love" or does that somehow make it more tragic?

I would post a poll but that would mean making another thread.

Actually, if you click the links at the bottom, you will discover that this page is from a group called "Dial-the-Truth Ministries." They proclaim to be Baptists. They are NOT Catholic.

These types of things are often the work of evangelical Christians and Catholics are rarely evangelical.
