View Full Version : Own property on the moon
http://www.lunarregistry.com/?source=gmoon
Supposedly we can lay claim to acreage on the moon and receive a deed which is supposedly legal. What I want to know is if at some point in the future there is another lunar mission and the astronauts land on my acre, can I sue them for trespassing? :deal:

I heard about this like...a year ago. Supposedly Tom Cruise( I think) owns some Moon....but apparently, its a money taking scheme, and totally fake.
Thats what I've heard.
Hmm, I wonder if Bill Gates owns any..

To have a place of solitude. Somewhere to escape from the rustle and bustle of the humanized planet. Of course this isn't possible for middle income people yet but I think it might be by the time I become a senior citizen.

Will we become a race that travels from planet to planet, claiming ownership of and exhausting everything we come across?

seems to be what all the "advanced" civilizations do....
then again, they always seem to lose somewhere along the way, and get their whole civilization wiped out...
unless you're the covenant, in which case, you just send a couple dozen people to each planet and when you get the chance to attack earth, make everyone think you are going to, and then not do it....pissing off 3 million fans

I wrote a paper in 8th grade about space colonies and promptly became semi-obsessed with the idea of living in outerspace. I was fairly annoyed with people and wanted to start my own civilisation from scratch. Luckily I have grown out of that but it would still be cool to be able to travel to space.

Our planet is so much better than the moon, is almost unmeasurable.
Oh, and there's also the fact that you can't actually do anything with your property on the moon.

Sell it, show it off, live on it.
Im assuming if you can, and do, buy a piece of the moon, you have a scheduled plan to one day visit your plot.
I would build an amusement park.
