View Full Version : Best DS game to ask for?

I've been reading over games released for the DS and although its a bit small (lazy ass developers), I've been thinking about Mario 64x4. I remember the '64 version and hearing how its been touched up to be even better.
So..is there any other game besides Mario 64x4 to ask for that would be something to hold me over? I don't want any sports games, they are useless.
Thx for any recommendations in advance.

Mario 64 DS is the only good one out right now. The other released games got mediocre ratings. Perhaps the reason I'm enjoying Mario so much is because I never played the original one.

Yeah, get Mario64 DS or whatever it's called.
XY/YY Feel The Magic is probably the second best game, but you're better off waiting a couple of months. That's when the real games are coming out. :)

Yeah, I've read up on that XY/YY game but I didn't think it would be something to ask for, for Xmas since it looks fun but not something to really hold me over til more good games start coming out.

Besides mario, id also say Feel the Magic...
It looks really fun and unique...and it is SonicTeam, after all...

I agree. :) If I were to go to the store right now and buy one (if I had a DS), I would get Feel the Magic. I think it looks extremely entertaining, and it has Sonic Team credentials. That and I love playing a Don Juan, both in real life and the virtual one.
Well, technically Feel the Magic is UGA, not Sonic Team.
I'd get Mario 64 DS. You can single-pak it up with other people who have DS's but not the game.

Actually I have no "feelings" as such.I don't think I can single-pak it up.

Quick question, if other people have Mario 64x4 and use their carts also, can I use other multiplay options besides the ones for single pak? I've tried checking to see if it does but can't find the info
No idea.. maybe. I don't think you can for Super Mario Advance games either.

Nono, the IGN review says it doesn't have any multipack multiplayer options. They didn't have time to make any, IGN say.
Seriously, get M64 and wait for other games. :)
I'm going to wait on getting a DS until there are more games, like Advance Wars DS. Maybe by that time there will be additional colors available.

Unless I get one for Christmas, that's the same time I plan to buy mine. AWDS is my most wanted game for the DS, I've been reading up on it lately, and it sounds extremely awesome. Being able to control your aircraft on one screen and the ground on the other will bring stragetic battles to the next level.
I hope that it supports WiFi, as I will take the opportunity to dish out my mad AW skills on you.

Football games on handhelds are always piss poor.
But I think from the sound of it, I'll settle on Mario 64 if I get it. I was seeing a head to head that IGN made and the DS version looks better for the most part but it reminded me of PS1 games and how ****ty they looked. But I can live with it. It just feels weird not having texture filtering (I think thats what it was called) to make everything a little "smoother"

it doesn't have antialiasing like the 64 did, but big freaking whoop... you wont notice, and if you do... you wont care.

Yeah, I won't care much. I'm trained on remembering how the '64 version was and now that it has a downgrade and upgrade to the graphics, I have to get used to it again when I play it :p
