View Full Version : Last Meal

I realize that this is a massive forum, post and member wise, so hopefully this thread hasn't been done before. I was sitting in Math [Anal]ysis, bored out of my mind, as usual, and I began to make a list of the things I would ask for my last meal. I'm not exactly sure how many people are given their last meal nowadays - I know it's been done to people on Death Row in the past - but from what I have gathered, you can basically request any food within a reasonable limit (Meaning they probably aren't going to retrieve Spider Monkey or something, and YES, some tribes in Africa eat Spider Monkeys). At any rate, my list ended up looking something like this:
-Lobster With Butter
-Double Baked Potato With Cheese
-Sparkling Grape Juice
-Glazed Honey Bun
-Buffalo Wings
-Apple Pie
-Chocolate Cream Pie
-Taco Bell
-Cinnamon Pretzel
-Pretzel With Cheese
.....anyway, if you where going to die, and you got to choose your last meal, what would you eat?
I remember doing this thread years ago at another forum. It had a good run. My list looked pretty similar to yours.
Now I'd lean more towards Asian cooking, or Indian more specifically. I'd probably make it the spiciest I've ever had. It'd include:
Butter Masala Chicken (medium hot, because it's delicious)
Chicken Tikka (hotter, to bring out the darker flavours)
Goat Korma (turning up the heat, because Goat compliments heat)
2 servings of spicy garlic nan
Fine assorted rices with pickled peppers
and the killer:
Prawns Vindaloo (super spicy.)
All of this washed down with Sprite and Orange juice (just to kick me over the edge.) For Dessert, I'd finish with assorted Indian treats in honey, such as the Orange Swirls, and then sugary keroway seeds.
If you gotta go out, at least have some style - and a theme!
I have one answer for what I would want. Desserts. Nothing but dessert. :)

Stir Fryed Chicken.

If im dying, and considering hte bowels are free when you die, I want to be like a case of nitroglycerine when im "put to death".

Don't forget the mango lassi/yoghurt drink!
I'd want to have everything on Dyne's list. I am so obsessed with Indian food it's not funny...
And with those, I also want:
-lamb rogan josh (Indian again)
-nasi lemak (traditional spicy Malay dish)
-sushi, sushi and more sushi
-2 minute Indonesian instant noodles (not ramen)
-lotsa seafood...chilli crabs, maybe?
-my mom's ginger chicken
Heaps more just that I can't think of any at the moment...

Id ask for a mound of potatoes that was shaped like me then try and switch places with it, And if that dident work then I'll just make a daring escape by throwing mash potatoes in everones eyes.

Water and bread.
That's the default choice though! Don't you want customization or special treatement before you enter the next life? You're so unconventional. When you reply in this thread, it's expected that you're going to make a crazy list full of your favorite dishes.

Yoghurt drinks are great, but they tone down the spicyness.
I forgot about Rogan Josh dishes. Those are delicious.

Anchovies are yummy~. I don't think it's an asian thing. Scandinavians like fish a lot too. Especially herring.

I think it's a different kind of anchovies that they are talking about... The ones we have are the tiny little fishy things (in nasi lemak). The ones they are talking about (I think) are the huge ones that come in a jar with salt water.
I also like brocolli :D

Strangler, some of your Pennsylvania area places reminded me that I left two VERY IMPORTANT food items off of my list.
First of all a large homemade turkey sub from Capriotti's, and secondly a large Cheese steak from Capriotti's...Can't believe I forgot those.
