Nope, rain has never stunk for me before...are you sure its actually the rain itself that stinks? Maybe the rain is getting into something and making it stink...or something...

No, I have never had an odorous rain. I've smelled trash who's stench was increased by the rain but never actually stink rain...
Weird...

Rain usually has a pretty nice fragrance.

It's not the rain that smells, it's worms. When it rains, the worms come out of the ground, and usually end up dying, and rotting outside. The worms smell like ass, but that's life.
Then again, it only really smells like that in the city. When it rains at my uncle's cabin, it smells more refreshing, only the smell of a few dead 20lbs catfish along the shore.
Maybe has something to do with the pollution. I always thought it was the worms.

Yes... It is the worms... And also, if there is alot of water, when it goes into the sewers, waste can rise up and go onto the streets... or something like that.

That happens in DC sometimes cuz the drainage and sewage systems are the same thing, rather than having them seperate (like here)... heh heh... it happened like this past summer or spring or fall or something I forget exactly when... they showed a bunch of footage of this nasty lookin' water gushing up out of the manholes and stuff... and then footage inside homes after it all dried up and there was a ton of nasty brown s*** on the walls ;)
heh heh heh.... hmm...
around here I kinda like the way it smells when it rains... *shrugs*

Bakersfield has like the lowest Air quality in the country
(ok, maybe not, but it's in the top 10 for sure)
It's in the valley, mountans on every side... all that dust gets blown over here and it settles in B-Town
