Its also THEIR opinion. You dont even have to think their innovative. You could think they have "Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction"

True... you don't have to think food from Sizzler is worth $10 per plate... and you can think McDonalds is worth $20 for a value meal...

I wouldn't use this as an excuse for Nintendo's short commings

And because Dumb & Dumber didn't win best picture for the academy awards of that year can still mean it was actually the best movie out there...all opinions...

Yeah! i don't like awards of any kind. They're just guessing games.

The funny part about this topic is... if Nintendo would have won almost every award people would just give Nintendo respect... now you guys are acting like awards don't mean ****...

Nobody was complaining when Goldeneye got game of the year, and Goldeneye didn't blast it's opposition with great scores nearly as much as Halo...

but whatever... awards are opinions... and they are only valid if a fan agrees with who won in every category...

Awards don't mean much to me once games that got the awards deserve them. :D and well.....Nintendo didn't come out with that much killer games ( they had good games but not any AAA titles
IMO)
So they get awards for they put out.

Wow, ICO must really be good. The box-art made it look dumb, but from what I've been hearing, it's a really good game.

Don't judge a game(or book :p) by it's cover

well, i only like awards if they are unanimous. like if they did a poll where each question was answered by 1000 ppl or more and you could pick any game you want. i like those awards cuz their usually unbiased. kinda like the golden globes... *cough* *cough*
